One of my loves is being involved with Pet Rescue groups. I am currently very involved with the New England English Springer Spaniel Rescue Group (NASSER). I foster Spaniels and assist in the adoption process. I work with local shelters & different organizations transporting shelter dogs to foster homes.  My Springer Spaniel Ellie was one of my first fosters, who I fell in love with and adopted. Her sibling Lucy has been with me since she was 8 weeks old. I recently inherited a Cocker Spaniel Lady, who is now part of our family

I volunteer at both the Westchester and Putnam SPCA and love the interaction with the dogs. I have completed the “Training to Adoption” program and work with training dogs to prepare them for adoption.

I am also Red Cross certified in Pet CPR/First Aid. I have worked with several trainers over the last few years in order to better help prepare fosters for adoption. Through no fault of their own, their previous living condition or horrific incidents might have “altered” their personalities. Usually all they need is love and patience to bring them out of their “shell” and back to their loving self. It is amazing that most of these dogs hold no grudges against people.

 I currently also work in Real Estate as an Associate Broker for Keller Williams in Somers. In my “former” life I worked in the Fashion Industry and for  Union Carbide and IBM in Somers.
