HOLIDAYS & SUMMER VACATION
WE WILL TRY TO ACCOMODATE THANKSGIVING & CHRISTMAS DAY, AS BEST WE CAN. We also celebrate these holidays so our time will be limited.
Times fill up quickly, so please book in advance. Priority will be given to our regular clients. All services must be paid in full by the first day of service.
NOTE: We will not overbook ourselves at anytime. We care about what we do and would never "compromise" the personal care & attention we give each and everyone of our dogs & cats.
Description of Services:
Initial Consultation:
Meet with owner and their dog / cat to discuss services. Payment and key arrangement discussed at this time. Paper work will also be completed at this time.
Dog Walking; Pet Sitting (in your home):
Daily Dog Walking is perfect for those parents who work long hours or cannot walk their dog due to other circumstances. Great for puppies in training or older dogs who need that extra attention. We will walk, provide food & water, play & give lots of TLC. Daily exercise helps to maintain or develop a dog’s good temperament.
Away for an entire day, overnight or vacation? We will provide multiple daily visits to your home to check up on your pet and provide lots of love & individual attention. This will include feeding, walking, brushing, cleaning up accidents & spending time with them. A house check is included and we will bring in the mail / newspapers / packages.
For extended vacation periods, For dogs, we recommend two (2) thirty minute visits during the day (i.e.: 8:00 AM/2:00 PM) & one (1) sixty minute visit at night (i.e.: 7:00 PM). We do not like to rush in & out when a dog is left alone for an extended period of time. We prefer to spend quality time with your dog, so they do not feel lonely & isolated
Administer Medication: As necessary. If a separate visit is required to administer medication, a regular pet sitting fee will apply
Emergency Delays / Last Minute Care:
For our regular clients, we will make every effort to accommodate “emergency delays / last minute appointments” (i.e.: arriving home late from work). We will go to your home & walk/feed your dog, so you don’t have to worry about them.
Pet Taxi:
We will transport your dog / cat to/from the vet, groomer, doggy day care, kennel or any other place you might need us to transport to/from in the immediate area (10 mile radius). We will also pick up any dog / cat supplies you might need from the pet supply store. Any transportation out of the Somers area will charged $2.00 every 10 miles
Customized Visits:
This is a personalized service dedicated to your dog’s and cat's well-being. The rates listed are basic rates; each home situation is different. Your rates may vary depending on time necessary to properly care for your pet. If any additional charges are necessary, they will be discussed with you during the initial consultation and a rate will be quoted based upon our rates
NOTE: All services are based on availability. Calling ahead is the best way to guarantee your service!
Other:
Key Pick Up or Return:
This service is only required for customers who do not wish to provide keys during the initial getting acquainted period. To avoid this fee, keys can be delivered / picked up by pet owner to the sitter.
Permanent Key Customer:
We will store customer’s keys in a lock box, at the Happy Tails To You office. They will not be kept by the walker/sitter.
Payment:
Fee is required in advance to hold your reservation. At the initial consultation we will set up a fee / payment schedule based on your needs. We ask for a deposit at that time and the balance to be paid on the first day of services.
Cancellations:
We adhere to a strict policy on “No Overbooking”. Therefore, once you have contracted services, we will turn away business in order to accommodate your schedule
Cancellations must be made 24 business hours in advance or standard rates will be charged. We will try and accommodate a change in your schedule. You must confirm any cancellations by phone. Cancellation fees may be imposed for repeated cancellations.
During Holidays, cancellations must be made at least 72 hours in advance.
If a walker/sitter arrives for your scheduled visit and you determine you do not want a visit or your pet is not there, you will be charged for the regular visit.
Insurance:
We are fully insured by 'Pet Sitters Associates, LLC" for your safety and ours. The policy is underwritten by "Evanston Insurance Company". To view coverage, go to www.insfac.com and click "Petsitters".
